An hour drive away from Marrakech, Kasbah Tamadot is by far the most luxurious hotel accommodation in the High Atlas mountains of Morocco. It was originally spotted from a hot air balloon by Richard Branson during one of his expeditions around the world. The vistas are rapturous: on one side the forested enbankments of the river below. On the other, the snowy peaks of the High Atlas, culminating at more than 4000 meters high. The rooms, suites and tents ( think rather uber luxury glamping) have been individually decorated and furnished – 28 in total. There is one indoor pool and one outdoor infinity pool. Please note that children are only welcomed during school holidays. International beer, wine and spirits available on site. Best visited all year round.
