The quintessential luxury in Rabat, away from the medina.
Opened in 2015, Villa Diyafa is a new player in town, and has arrived to please those that were looking for something different from the riads of the tiny medina or the chain hotels of the new town. Located in the posh embassy district of Rabat, it embodies a world of elegance and understated opulence. Villa Diyafa calls itself a boutique urban resort, yet there is nothing much urban about its environment. You would choose to stay here rather to distance yourself from the world and find serenity than say, feel that you are in Morocco. Yet, the main sites of Rabat and Sale are still within a 15 minute drive. You know that dedication goes a long way when the general manager ( Mr Harry) showed us around the property on a Sunday morning. It offers 10 beautifully appointed suites spread on two levels and a distinguished private villa as well as an intimate selection of dining experiences with both Moroccan and international dishes. Guests can even choose to have their meals inside their suite. Spanning 80m²/860ft², the suites boast floor to ceiling windows and come complete with a king sized bed, separate lounge area, spacious bathroom with a shower, bath and double sink adjacent to a separate dressing room. Hotel guests can also enjoy access to The Library, a private lounge adorned with vibrant fabrics and furnishings all centered around a traditional wooden fireplace. The leisure facilities at Villa Diyafa include a traditional Moroccan spa and hammam, a state-of-the- art fitness facility and a semi-Olympic swimming pool surrounded by luscious landscaping and water features. Best visited all year round.
